Release Notes
2.100.0
07/29/2021
What’s New:
- We’ve updated Average Rating visibility based on user permission. For talent with multiple engagements across different companies, company users will now only see the average rating for their company – ratings for engagements that occurred outside of their company will no longer be included in the average rating calculation. Multi-Company Admins will see the average rating across the companies they have access to. Internal users will continue to see the average rating across all companies.
- We’ve also updated talent tag visibility to be company-specific. For talent that are shared between different companies, company users will only see tags entered by other company users from the same company. Multi-Company Admins will see tags for all the companies they have access to. If a Multi-Company Admin enters a tag, all the companies they are associated with will see the tag. Internal users will only see tags entered by other internal users. We’ve also went back and assigned a company ID to existing tags in the system so only those companies will see those tags moving forward.
- When a company user or vendor user is viewing a talent profile, the company names from engagements that do not belong to them have been removed to further conceal our clients’ affiliation with TargetCW/SN. Company names that are manually added by the talent from past experiences when completing their profile will remain.
Fixes:
- When company users and vendor users search for a talent using the SN global search bar, they will no longer see all the company names the talent is associated with on the search results.
- We’ve removed a duplicate text on the Tax Withholding page during worker onboarding.
- Existing workers with new tracked engagements for a second company are now showing on the Talent Kendo grid for the new company.
- When a new vendor-sourced order has been approved by the VMS Manager, the “Decline” button is once again working if the vendor chooses to decline the order.
2.99.1
07/20/2021
Hotfix:
- When a company user searches for talent and clicks on an experience link, we are now showing them the correct engagement pusher instead of the talent profile Engagements page.
2.99.0
07/15/2021
What’s New:
- Talent can now select the order of the links and media they want to showcase to hiring managers. Talent can drag and drop the cards to reorder them on their talent profile.
- The icons on the order creation forms have all been updated to the new gray style for a consistent look.
- When designing a new form, we’ve added Signature and Today’s Date to the available fields drop-down list to easily add the fields to the form, instead of manually creating a new field each time.
- On the Company Dashboard page, the Engagement Limits and Days Left Alert fields now have tooltips to help users configure their Anticipated End Date widget settings.
- We’ve added the Estimated Weekly Hours to our “GET engagements” API routes. The update has been added to our API documentation: https://api.staffingnation.com/help/documentation.
Fixes:
- When a user selects International Payrolling Order and completes the International Worker form, the Vendor field is now a required field and has a grayed out “TargetCW” value (since the international worker will be payrolled by TargetCW).
- The issues with our “POST engagements” API route have been resolved, the route is again functioning properly.
- When adding/editing/deleting documents on international quote orders, users will now receive the confirmation message at the top right-hand side of the page (instead of showing the message as part of the page) to confirm the update has been made.
- Instead of showing the Reports To phone number and email, the correct worker phone number and email are now displaying at the top of the End Engagement form.
- Company users should no longer see a clickable cursor on the right side of the Company Administration Approvals panel. In addition, approvals tied to closed orders can now be deactivated by internal users.
2.98.0
07/06/2021
What’s New:
- For new offers moving forward, if the Worksite is Remote, the offer letter will now clearly state that the engagement is remote for additional clarity.
- When adding tracked workers, if the user enters an existing email for the worker that is not a worker email (i.e., existing internal/company/vendor user email), instead of letting the user submit the form and showing an error message, we will now display a warning message and the user will not be able to submit the form.
- As a precursor to upcoming end of engagement enhancements, we’ve updated the format of how we store the Finish Date on the database from Date format (y-m-d) to DateTime format (y-m-d hh:mm:ss).
Fixes:
- When calculating a talent’s Average Rating, we are no longer counting “Unknown” engagement rating values entered on the End Engagement form as “0.” The system will now average only the star rating values.
- If a worker is in the middle of completing their onboarding documents and their offer gets retracted then re-sent, the worker will no longer receive an error message. The worker can now proceed with completing their onboarding documents. In addition, once the worker completes their portion of onboarding, the status will now update to Pending I-9 and the I-9 reminder email is sent out.
- When reviewing a talent profile and clicking their external profile website links, users are now redirected to the correct website the talent added on their profile instead of a firewall security page.
- The Candidates tab is now showing on the order details page for all order types. Since Talent Pool Search is on the Candidates tab, hiring managers are now able to search for talent to add to any order.
- Since the Company Profile page has a Company Currency field, internal users were receiving an error message because the currency API that we utilize for SN was down. Moving forward, if the currency API is down, instead of showing an error, we will display a message throughout the system that touches the currency API.
- If auto insurance information is required for a new engagement, previously onboarded workers can no longer skip onboarding. The system will now prompt them to upload their auto insurance information for their new engagement.
- If order approval is turned on for the company, when extending a tracked worker engagement, the approval drop-down list is back on the Edit Tracked Engagement form.
2.97.0
06/24/2021
What’s New:
- When a payrolled or VMS engagement under Pending I-9, Redeploy I-9, Redeploy Onboarding or Employer Review status has ended, the order unfilled/filled count will update accordingly so another candidate can be submitted to that same order instead of creating a new order.
Fixes:
- Users can now remove attachments to existing job descriptions from the Update Job Description form.
- In our Yii API, the job order endpoint has been modified to return multiple onboarding supervisors and will no longer throw an error.
2.96.0
06/08/2021
What’s New:
- We’ve revamped our existing International Quote form and streamlined the international quote and onboarding process in SN. Moving forward, hiring managers will go into one place and select International Payrolling Order whether they are simply looking for an international quote or whether they are ready to onboard an international candidate.
Fixes:
- Now that SN is full width, we’ve removed the “Resize Grid” button from all Kendo pages since it’s no longer needed.
- When editing a job description’s Overview, Responsibilities and Requirements details, users can now highlight the text they want to remove and hit the Delete key on their keyboard to easily delete the text regardless of web browser.
- Users can now create an order from a draft even if the Payment Choice and Pay Rate field values have been updated.
- On the End Engagement form, if a future date is entered on the “Last day worked” field, the engagement will now accurately auto-end when that future date arrives. The engagement status will then update to Engagement Ended and the Primary Account Manager and TCW benefits team will receive the termination email notification.
- Assigned approvers can once again approve engagements under Update Pending Approval status from a pay rate adjustment or an engagement extension update.
2.95.1
05/28/2021
Hotfix:
- When adding options to a drop-down, radio button or checkbox list custom field, special characters (&, <, >) are now being saved correctly.
2.95.0
05/26/2021
What’s New:
- Since SN is now collecting the worker’s Legal Name and Name during worker onboarding, you can now search for a worker in the global search box by typing the worker’s Legal Name or Name.
- We can now end non-completed engagements (Pending I-9 and Employer Review status) immediately, even if the original Anticipated Start Date is a future date. When ending non-completed engagements, the “Last day worked” cannot be a future date. The user will receive a warning message.
- When a worker updates their Name on their talent profile, the Primary Account Manager will receive an email notification so they can update the worker’s Name in other systems.
- For one client company, once a tracked worker status is Engagement Ended, their company users can no longer update the engagement status into the other tracked worker statuses.
- On the Orders Kendo grid, Hiring Managers and Team Members (HM/TM) listed as approvers for an order will now have visibility to that order regardless of department, location and “Reports To visibility control” restrictions so they can review and approve the order. On the order details page, all action items (edit, hold, close, delete, send payrolled offer, view candidates, view vendors, etc.) are removed if the HM/TM is only an approver and otherwise does not have permission to the order.
- Similarly, on the Engagements Kendo grid, HM/TM listed as approvers for an engagement (pay rate adjustment approval, engagement extension approval) will now have visibility to that engagement regardless of department, location and “Reports To visibility control” restrictions so they can review and approve the engagement. On the engagement pusher, all action items (edit, end, update engagement status, etc.) are removed if the approver is only an approver and otherwise does not have permission to the engagement.
- We’ve made updates on a few fields on the order creation forms to avoid confusions.
On the Create Order form:
-When the Worker’s Location is “US Domestic,” the Reporting Location field has been restricted to only show US locations on the drop-down list for both “Onsite” and “Remote” worksite options
-When the Worker’s Location is “International,” the Reporting Location field will only show international locations (non-US locations) on the drop-down list for both “Onsite” and “Remote” worksite options
-The currency on the Pay Rate field will match the Reporting Location country’s currency moving forward
On the Create Order & Send Offer form:
-Since the implied worker location is always US for US payrolled engagements, the Reporting Location field will only show US locations on the drop-down list for both “Onsite” and “Remote” worksite options
On the Approve Order form:
-The Reporting Location field will follow the same rules (“US Domestic” will only show US locations and “International” will only show non-US locations) for both “Onsite” and “Remote” worksite options
Fixes:
- For companies that have VMS functionality turned on, when creating an order from the Create Order form or from the Job Description pusher, the distribution channel will now consistently default to Payrolling.
- When editing an engagement, existing custom field values are now sticking and presented on the Edit Engagement form.
- If Skill or Position Last Used values have too many characters, we are restricting the number of characters displayed on the candidate’s skill section to prevent the values from spilling over into other columns.
- On the talent profile, we’ve removed the “Legal Name” label when the worker’s Legal Name is the same as the worker’s Name and when the talent has not completed onboarding yet (therefore there’s no Legal Name value).
- For engagements without an End Date, the Anticipated End Date and Time Left values should now display correctly on the Anticipated End Date dashboard widget.
- Company users and internal users will no longer see the talent profile completion progress bar when looking at a talent profile via Talent Pool Search. Only talent should see their progress bar.
- When creating an order, the Pay Rate is back to being editable in all cases, except when a company has the following settings:
-Should the Pay Rate be visible on Job Descriptions? Yes
-Should the Pay Rate be required? Yes
-Can the Pay Rate be overwritten? No - For vendor-sourced orders with a fixed bill rate, the correct pay rate and bill rate are now showing when resending an offer to a candidate.
- When completing a worker’s Form I-9 page 2, the instructions now include the document name(s).
- If talent has not added links/documents to showcase on their profile, we are no longer showing the Showcase section on the talent pusher, candidate view of the order details page, and talent pool search profile.
2.94.2
05/24/2021
Hotfix:
- When saving custom field and custom form values, special characters (such as dashes, parentheses, spaces) are no longer being stripped out for drop-down, checkbox and radio button lists. We’ve also went back and corrected existing data.
2.94.1
05/18/2021
Hotfix:
- When completing the Form I-9, we’ve updated the I-94 field format to match the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s updated I-94 number format so workers can proceed with completing their onboarding. We’ve also updated the error message in SN if a user enters a I-94 number in an incorrect format.
2.94.0
05/10/2021
What’s New:
- We are continuing to enhance our “GET engagements” and “GET workers” API routes to support more integration use cases. All updates have been added to our API documentation: https://api.staffingnation.com/help/documentation.
Fixes:
- When a pay rate has been adjusted for a vendor-sourced engagement, Vendor Admins can now accept the new pay rate without receiving an error message.
- For tracked engagements with Engagement Ended status, the worker name (First Name, Last Name) is once again showing on the Engagements Kendo grid.
2.93.1
05/06/2021
Hotfix:
- In the SN sandbox environments, email links were redirecting users to unresponsive pages. This has been resolved. Emails links are now redirected to live SN site pages.
2.93.0
05/04/2021
What’s New:
- Since the Tasks widget and the Anticipated End Date widget are the most important to company users based on client feedback, we’ve re-ordered the Dashboard widgets. The Tasks widget and the Anticipated End Date widget have moved up on the Company Dashboard page.
- When an order has been rejected, we are now showing the rejection comments on the order Activity feed and on the email sent to the user who created the order.
- We’ve received feedback that the Send Offer button on the Candidates tab of the order details page can create confusion. Users are unsure if they are sending a payrolled offer or a vendor-sourced offer when they click the button. To eliminate any confusion, we’ve updated the name from “Send Offer” to “Send Payrolled Offer.” For payrolled orders, users will see the Send Payrolled Offer button. For vendor-sourced orders, we’ve removed the Send Payrolled Offer button. Users can still send a payrolled offer from a vendor-sourced order by clicking on the ellipsis menu.
- On the Create Tracked Worker form, the vendors listed on the Vendor field drop-down list will no longer include “tracked vendor” wording on the vendor names.
- Client request for their company users:
– We’ve limited the tracked worker engagement statuses to just Employer Review, Engagement Active and Engagement Ended
– The “Vendor (Staffing Agency)” label has been updated to “Vendor (Consultant)” on the Create Tracked Worker form, Edit Tracked Engagement form and engagement pusher
– We’ve added a tooltip to the Order Name field on the Create Order form
– We’ve updated the tooltip to the International field on the Create Job Description form
Fixes:
- On the Create Order, Create Order & Send Offer and Send Offer forms, if the Onboarding Supervisor field is left empty, a red message will once again appear and the user will not be able to move forward.
- Moving forward, if there are no approved candidates, the Approved Candidate(s) task view will not be shown. If there are approved candidates, the count number indicated on the task view will match the number of orders shown on the Kendo grid.
- The vendor-sourced order creation is a 2-page form. The system will now check all required fields on page 1 have been completed before moving to page 2.
2.92.2
04/27/2021
Hotfix:
- The Engagements Kendo grid issues have been resolved:
– Default “Pending Review” saved view now correctly displays all engagements pending review for Account Managers
– Number of engagements at the bottom right of the page now shows correct count
– The Kendo is again showing the correct number of engagement per page (25, 50 or 100 items per page depending on what the user selects)
2.92.1
04/26/2021
Hotfix:
- Users can now edit Payrolled and VMS engagements in Completed status without receiving an error message.
2.92.0
04/23/2021
What’s New:
- Talent can now add links and documents to promote and showcase their work to hiring managers! Talent can add up to 4 links at the top of their profile. On the Showcase section, there is no limit on the amount of links/documents a talent can add. Hiring managers will see the talent’s links and documents on the candidate dashboard in the order details page and on the talent pusher.
- Based on feedback we’ve gathered, there can be confusion regarding the onboarding progress and the talent profile completion progress bar. Workers may not know what to complete first. As an enhancement, we’ve removed the talent profile completion progress bar out of the Actions section. Only onboarding items will show on the Actions section up top.
- SN will now collect the worker Legal Name and Name during onboarding moving forward. Many workers have a name that is different than their legal name and it’s important to capture the names correctly for compliance and so workers feel respected.
– Form W-4, Form I-9, state-specific forms and employer forms will have the worker’s Legal Name
– If the worker’s Name is different than their Legal Name, the Legal Name will be specified on the talent profile, engagement pusher and talent pusher
– The Engagements page and Talent page will have the worker’s Name listed on the Kendo grids
– When completing page 2 of a worker’s Form I-9, we are showing the Legal Name and Name to the person completing the I-9
– SN notifications sent to workers will have the worker’s Name - When creating a form in SN, all the different name fields are now part of the available fields to add to a form.
- Outdated company approvals can now be deactivated by internal users. An approval tied to a job description, order or engagement that’s still pending approval cannot be deactivated, the user will receive an error message. Deactivated approvals are listed under the Deactivated tab and can be reactivated by selecting “Reactivate.” Only active approvals will show up under the Approval Process field drop-down list when approval is needed for a company.
- For one of our client companies in SN, we’ve added an additional External Location ID field when creating/updating a Location. This new External Location ID accepts alphanumeric values and will be used for the SN Workday integration.
Fixes:
- When adding a tracked worker, if the Classification is SOW or 1099 Contractor, the Phone Country Code was defaulted to the United States and could not be edited. This has been resolved. When adding a tracked worker, the user is now allowed to select the Phone Country Code when classification is not US Worker.
- For the POST third party system ids API route, we’ve resolved the issue of duplicate values. We’ve also updated our API documentation to specify that the third party system id value type is “string” and can support alphanumeric values.
- Instead of populating the worker’s full name as the signature on the offer letter, the signature will now be what the worker typed in when they accepted and signed the offer letter.
- When a tracked engagement is Remote, the Worksite Country value is now being saved when editing the tracked engagement.
- The TCW prescreen team will now receive the “Prescreen Initialization” email when a user resends a retracted offer. The TCW prescreen team will also receive an email when workers are added through the Onboarded Workers Bulk Import feature.
- On the Engagements page of the worker profile, the engagement Contacts section now shows the correct photos for the Reports To and Timecard Approver.
- The Notes to Worker field label is back with its tooltip on the Create Order & Send Offer form.
2.91.0
04/08/2021
What’s New:
- We’ve added a Facility Only classification to accommodate a group of worker added to the system for tracking purposes only. Their engagement details may not be known or needed. When a Facility Only classification is selected, only the following information will be collected:
– Worker Information (First Name, Last Name, Phone Country Code, Phone, Email)
– Engagement Details (Vendor, Anticipated Start Date, Anticipated End Date, Job Description, Department, Reporting Location, Reports To)
– Additional Information (Purchase Order, Internal Notes, Company Custom Fields) - We are continuing to enhance our “GET engagements,” “GET workers” and “POST third party system ids” API routes to support more integration use cases. All updates have been added to our API documentation: https://api.staffingnation.com/help/documentation.
Fixes:
- We can now process pay rate adjustments, regardless of engagement Anticipated Start Date, without receiving an error message.
- When adding a tracked worker, if a user enters a value on the Purchase Order field or Internal Notes field, the values are now saved and shown on the engagement pusher. The purchase order value will also show on the Purchase Order column of the Engagements page.
2.90.0
04/01/2021
What’s New:
- Since Salary Non-Exempt job descriptions can only be selected for tracked workers, we’ve updated “Salary Non-Exempt” to “Salary Non-Exempt (tracked workers only)” to eliminate any confusion when creating a job description. We’ve also re-arranged the Pay Type values from most used up top (Hourly Non-Exempt) to least used (Salary Non-Exempt (tracked workers only)).
- If a Hiring Manager’s visibility is set to “Only show direct reports,” they will now only see workers who report to them on the Document Compliance dashboard page.
- We’ve made enhancements to our “get engagements” API route to support more integration use cases. All updates have been added to our API documentation: https://api.staffingnation.com/help/documentation.
Fixes:
- When a VMS candidate has a retracted offer and has been sent another offer from a different order, the candidate is now able to accept the offer and complete onboarding. The candidate can now access their worker profile to see their engagement details.
- If a company has “Standardized Staffing Rate” VMS settings turned off, when saving a VMS order as a draft, the markup rate will no longer show “0.” Instead, the markup rate will again show “Varies” since the rates will vary by vendor.
2.89.0
03/24/2021
What’s New:
- On the Create Tracked Worker form, since the Country of Citizenship, Work Schedule, Travel Requirements and Expense Reimbursement fields are international-specific, they will now show up only if the Classification is International to simplify the order creation process. The international fields will be hidden for US Worker, 1099 Contractor and SOW.
- For a company in SN, the tooltips for some of the fields on the Create Order, Create Order & Send Offer, Create Tracked Worker, Create Job Description and End Engagement forms will be company-specific for their company users.
Fixes:
- Users with an Account Manager role were receiving an error message when ending a worker’s engagement. This has been resolved. Account Managers can now end engagements.
- Internal users can now be deactivated in the following scenario:
1. User A is an Account Manager for Company C
2. User B is an Account Manager for Company C
3. User A must be deactivated and User A’s responsibilities need to be re-assigned to User B - Updating a VMS order status to On Hold resulted in a server error. This has been fixed. VMS orders can again be placed On Hold so vendors can stop submitting candidates.
- For tracked workers, if the Classification is International and the Worksite is Remote, the Worksite Country is required. We’ve added a Worksite Country column on the Tracked Workers Bulk Import template to successfully bulk add international remote workers in the system.
- Users can once again filter, sort and group engagements on the Engagements Kendo.
- When ending an engagement with a future date, when that future date comes, the engagement will end correctly for all companies moving forward.
- When a prescreen team member updated a prescreen item to Consider status, they received an error message. This has been fixed. Prescreen items can now be updated to the Consider status.
- Company users can now be deactivated once their responsibilities are assigned to another company user.
2.88.1
03/16/2021
Hotfixes:
- Workers will no longer receive an error message when clicking “Start Background Check” button during onboarding. The engagement pusher will no longer show duplicate prescreen items.
- Users are now able to close job orders.
2.88.0
03/12/2021
What’s New:
- SN now calculates estimated spend on all order creation forms (Create Order, Create Order & Send Offer, Create Tracked Worker and Create International Quote). Estimated spend is calculated by taking the values from the Anticipated Start Date, Anticipated End Date, Estimated Weekly Hours and rate fields. Estimated spend = Number of weeks (Anticipated End Date – Anticipated Start Date/5 days per week) x Estimated Weekly Hours x Hourly Bill Rate. If the fields required to calculate estimated spend are not filled out, the system will show “Insufficient data.” Estimated spend is also displayed on the order details page and visible to users who have access to see financial information.
- We can now limit a Hiring Manager’s view to only show their direct reports. If a Hiring Manager’s visibility is set to “Only show direct reports,” they will only see order, engagement and talent information if they are the “Reports To” person within their assigned locations and departments. Note: If a Hiring Manager with restricted direct reports visibility is assigned as the Onboarding Supervisor for orders/engagements, this Hiring Manager will also have access to see those orders/engagements.
- We can now assign multiple Onboarding Supervisors (max 5) to manage orders and worker onboarding. All Onboarding Supervisors will receive existing email notifications regarding the order and all engagements associated with the order.
- When adding a tracked worker, “TargetCW” is no longer the default vendor. The Vendor field is now blank and users will be prompted to select the correct vendor from the drop-down list.
- Collecting worker auto insurance information is no longer systemwide. You can now turn it on/off at the company level.
- On the worker profile page, we’ve added a “Pending background check” message after the Start Date field to provide additional clarity that a worker’s start date is contingent upon background check clearance. Once the engagement status updates to Completed, the “Pending background check” message will disappear.
- We’ve updated all links attached to SN email templates to HTTPS for additional security. All previous http:// links will redirect to https://.
Fixes:
- The email notification sent to the Account Manager when a pay rate adjustment is pending approval now shows the currency of the current and proposed pay rate for clarity.
- When adjusting a tracked worker’s pay rate, the approval drop-down selection is now showing if order approval is turned on for a company.
- The Google map API is now working on the worker profile. Workers can search locations and select suggested result without receiving an error.
- When vendor users retract and resubmit candidates with a new pay rate, the updated pay rate is now showing on the candidate dashboard.
- Workers can now accept a job offer that has been retracted and resent.
- The pay rate adjustment approval process header text has been updated to include “Your company requires an approval for changes to the Pay Rate” for transparency.
- If the worksite is Remote, the Remote State value will no longer clear out after editing the engagement.
- When approvers click on the “Review Job Offer” button from the order approval email, they are now redirected to the correct order details page to approve the order.
- When a VMS Manager approves a candidate, the markup rate value will no longer update to 0%. The correct markup rate will be reflected on the candidate dashboard.
2.87.1
Hotfix:
- All Saved Views on the Engagements page are back.
2.87.0
What’s New:
- You can now turn on pay rate adjustment approval for a company in SN.
- We’ve added the following routes to the SN API:
1. Add new location from another software to SN
2. Add new department from another software to SN
3. Add new company user from another software to SN
4. Store unique identifier from another software to SN
The new routes have been added to our API documentation: https://api.staffingnation.com/help/documentation. - We’ve replaced Intercom with HubSpot for live chat support and knowledge base.
- When creating a new prescreen package for a company, the prescreen menu has been updated with new prices and additional prescreen options have been added. New job descriptions moving forward should have the new prescreen items. Existing job descriptions with previous prescreen items will remain unchanged.
- For one company in SN, the “Vendor” field will now show “Vendor (Staffing Agency).” The “Vendor Group” field will now show “Vendor Group (Staffing Agency).”
Fixes:
- In our Yii API, all internal users (System Admins, Account Managers and Human Resources) now have access to all companies.
- All internal users can again see the Source and Classification fields for all companies.
- The Work Site column on the Engagements page can now be sorted to arrange engagements together.
- Users will no longer receive an error message when ending a worker’s engagement in all environments.
- The subject line for the email notification the Account Manager receives when a pay rate adjustment is pending approval has been updated to show more details.
- On the Create Order & Send Offer form, we can now send offers to multiple workers at once.
- When editing a tracked worker engagement, the Source, Worksite Country and Remote State fields can now be updated. The new values will show on the engagement pusher.
- When creating an order from an international job description, if the Worksite is Onsite, only the international locations will show on the Reporting Location drop-down list moving forward.
2.86.0
What’s New:
- When VMS is enabled for a company and managed internally, SN now supports multiple VMS Managers. All VMS Managers assigned to a company (max 5 VMS Managers) can approve VMS orders, approve candidate submittals, manage vendors assigned to an order and receive all email notifications. Any updates will be shown on the activity feed for full transparency.
- We’ve updated the message on the Track Worker form and International Worker form to clarify that worker onboarding may still need to occur outside of SN.
- We’ve automated the process of syncing the minimum wage table in our HRIS system to the minimum wage table in SN on a daily basis to capture any changes with minimum wage.
- When creating a job description for one of the companies in SN, only “Hourly Non-Exempt” and “Salary Exempt” will show up on the Pay Type drop-down list. Also, on the End Engagement form, only their company-specific deactivation reasons will show up when ending a worker engagement.
- We’ve added 2 additional columns on our HRIS export file: (1) Car_for_business column shows if the worker is required to drive a personal vehicle to perform their job duties (2) Elect_delivery column shows the worker’s response to the Electronic Delivery Disclosure and Consent form.
- Since Salary Non-Exempt jobs can pose a series of compliance issues, we are no longer showing job descriptions with a Salary Non-Exempt pay type on the Create Order and Create Order and Send forms. Job descriptions with a Salary Non-Exempt pay type will still show up when adding tracked workers. There will not be any changes for existing orders and engagements in the system with a Salary Non-Exempt pay type.
Fixes:
- Workers/talent can now complete their onboarding and talent profile using their mobile phones.
- Timecard Approver is now displaying on the Engagements page for bulk onboarded workers.
- When users accidentally end a worker’s engagement, Super Users can once again reopen those engagements.
- When searching for an order using the global search, the new order details page will now appear after clicking any order.
- We’ve updated the Worker ID values on the Electronic Consent Export to match the ID values shown on the Talent page.
- All Recruiters can now click on their candidate’s engagement to review the offer without receiving an error message.
- When creating a new job description from an “Existing Job Description,” the existing job titles for the company are again showing on the drop-down list.
- Talent can now click Add Description when completing their talent profile without receiving a server error message.
- When workers have several engagements with different job titles, ending an older engagement showed the worker’s latest job title on the End Engagement form. This has been resolved. Moving forward, when ending any engagement, the correct job title for that engagement will display on the End Engagement form.
- Users were receiving an error on the Pay Rate Adjustment form when order approval was turned on for the company. This has been fixed. Users can now adjust a worker’s rate by entering the new pay rate, effective date and clicking Send Offer.
- Moving forward, remote workers will again have 2 export files: one for their general information and one specifically for their remote location.
- The Engagement Summary is now displaying the correct Anticipated End Date.
- All tracked worker engagement status can now be updated to the different statuses.
2.85.1
Hotfix:

2.85.0
What’s New:
- When a worker receives a pay rate update, as soon as the worker acknowledges their pay update, all Account Managers assigned to the company will now see a “Pay Rate Adjustments” saved view on their Engagements page and a task in SN.
- The completion of talent profile is important in maintaining the quality of Talent Pool in SN. We’ve added a progress indicator to guide and encourage talent to complete their profile!
- Users can now bulk update engagements from different import sources. On the Bulk Update Engagement Details form, if the selected engagements are from different import sources, all the fields that can be bulk updated for those engagements will be displayed at the top. The fields that cannot be bulk updated together will be grayed out at the bottom.
- A worker has the “right to be forgotten.” When an inactive worker requests to have their personal information deleted in SN, we now have a deactivation feature (exclusive to Super Users only) to remove worker personal data.
- We’ve updated the rate for ACA benefits from $18 to $17. Workers earning $17 or less per hour will see the “2021 Benefits Brochure – ACA Package” on their dashboard under the Engagements page.
- A company requested for the Classification and Source fields to be hidden when creating a tracked worker in SN. When pushing the tracked worker engagement info from SN to Workday for this company, the Classification value will default to “SOW” and the Source value will default to “Tracked-Internal.”
Fixes:
- Vendor users can now retract and resubmit their candidates with a new pay rate. The new pay rate will be reflected on the candidate dashboard.
- If the worksite is Remote, the Remote State is a required field. Offers can no longer be sent if the Remote State is missing for remote engagements. The bulk import Onboarded Workers template will also require a Remote State if the worksite is Remote.
- Offers sent through the bulk import feature were missing a value for the Type column on the Engagements page. This has been fixed. If engagements are from the bulk import Onboarded Workers feature, the Type will automatically be Payrolled.
- When sending a payrolled offer from a VMS order, users can now enter a Pay Rate and successfully send the offer.
- When updating an engagement, regardless of what’s been updated, the Remote State/Remote City/Remote County were nullified. This has been resolved. Moving forward, when updating an engagement with values unrelated to worksite, remote information will no longer be affected or show on the activity feed.
- When updating a worker’s pay rate on the Pay Rate Adjustment form, the new offer will be sent to the worker for review and acknowledgment only after the user selects Send Offer and clicks the “Ok” blue confirmation button.
- We’ve made the following fixes on the Order Details page:
- When searching for certain talents, users faced an error message. We’ve resolved those edge cases
- We’ve updated a notification message when an offer is retracted. The word “Offer” was previously missing
- Hiring Managers can no longer click on a worker’s action item
- Users will no longer be allowed to add talent to closed orders
- A talent who has already been Suggested by the system cannot be submitted to the order
- Order details are now aligned evenly with spaces
- We’ve updated the wording of “Sourced Date” on the candidate details section
- All company custom fields are now showing for VMS orders on the Order Details section.
- Tracked worker engagements in Engagement Ended status can now be approved.
- We’ve removed the Additional Notifications on the Order Dashboard for vendor users. Only internal users and client company users have access to Additional Notifications information.
- The Update Candidate form is once again working. Vendor users can now update their candidate’s information.
- Company users were able to see a worker’s benefits brochure on the engagement pusher, but they received an error when they clicked on it. Company users should not have access to a worker’s benefits brochure. Moving forward, they will no longer see the brochure on the engagement pusher.
- If “Option to End Engagement Automatically” setting is Yes for a company, when bulk updating Anticipated End Date for that company, the End Date will now also get updated with it.
- We’ve updated the Form W4 instructions during worker onboarding to reflect the correct years.
- The correct text will now show on the first paragraph of the offer letter based on the company’s prescreen settings and prescreen items.
- On the Company Dashboard page, clicking on a talent’s name from Latest Hires widget opened up the old worker pusher. This has been resolved. When users click on a talent from the widget, the system will now display the new talent pusher.
- On the Must Haves section of the candidate dashboard, the thumbs down icon is once again red, neutral icon is yellow and thumbs up icon is green. Any vendor comments will show below the must have.
2.84.0
What’s New:
- If a worker is required to drive their personal vehicle to perform their job duties, SN will now collect the worker’s auto insurance policy during onboarding.
- You can now enable engagement extension approval for a company in SN.
- TargetCW recruiters will now have System Admin access (in addition to their Recruiter access). They can easily switch between their 2 roles by clicking “Switch Role.”
- We’ve updated the SN export file for VMS workers.
- A job description’s Pay Type can no longer be edited because that job description is tied to existing orders and engagements. If a job description’s Pay Type needs to be updated, a new job description will have to be created to reflect the new Pay Type for future orders and engagements.
- We’ve made enhancements to the talent pusher.
-
- We’ve brought back the verified check for SN engagements on the talent pusher. Internal users will see the check mark for all engagements in SN. Company and vendor users will only see the check mark for engagements from their own company.
- We’ve enhanced the default company icon to a colorful one.
- We’ve removed the “Engagement Ended” label for past engagements on the talent pusher for all users.
- Since “Base + Commission” pay rates are always displayed as weekly amounts regardless of company pay frequency, we’ve updated the offer letter to state “a weekly amount of” before the pay rate to eliminate any confusion.
Fixes:
- All talent titles from previous and current work experiences are showing once again on the Talent page.
- Job descriptions with “Commission Only” pay type can now be approved.
- We’ve added additional validations when creating international VMS orders.
When users create, edit or approve an order:
– If the job description is International and the worksite is Onsite, only international locations can be selected
– If the job description is US and the worksite is Onsite, only US locations can be selected
– If the worksite is remote, all locations (whether international or US) can be selected
- Users are now able to edit all tracked engagements regardless of classification.
- Moving forward, when an existing worker receives another offer, goes through onboarding again and selects a different citizenship from their prior onboarding, their previous citizenship inputs (such as document type, document number, expiration date) will be cleared so the worker can enter their new citizenship information.
- For companies that have the Sterling integration enabled, when an offer is sent to a worker and background check is bypassed, the prescreen team will now receive the correct “Prescreen Opt-out requested for Worker” email notification from SN.
- If a Primary Contact is deactivated, we can now assign a new Primary Contact for that company.
- Some workers did not have an Electronic Consent Form in SN. We pulled a report of active workers who were missing a signed Electronic Consent Form and provided the list to our Operations team so we can retroactively send the form to those workers through another system.
- On the Create and Send form, if the worksite is Remote and a remote state is selected, the system is now checking the minimum wage based the remote state selected. If the remote state has additional remote county/city selection, minimum wage will be validated based on the remote county/city selected.
- A worker’s Anticipated End Date or End Date can no longer be set to a date prior to the Anticipated Start Date when sending/re-sending an offer, editing an engagement, adding a tracked worker, creating an order and ending an engagement. The system will display the error message once again.
- Bulk Update feature on the Engagements page is working again as long as the selected engagements have the same values for Company, Imported and Type.
- On the Edit Tracked Engagement form, the pay rate currency now matches the correct currency displayed on the engagement pusher based on the reporting location.
- The Order ID column is showing again if you select it as a column on the Engagements page.
- If a tracked worker approval process is set for a company, all tracked worker engagements for that company can now be approved regardless of classification and currency.
- Department, Reporting Location, Anticipated Start Date, Work Site, Onboarding Supervisor, Reports To and Timecard Approvers fields once again have asterisks on the Send Offer form to indicate they are required fields.
- For a company that has the Sterling integration enabled, if a worker engagement status updates to Completed but the worker still requires prescreen, the worker will now see the “Continue Background Check” link on their worker/talent dashboard to complete their prescreen.
- For a company with order approval turned on, when editing a worker’s engagement, the engagement activity feed was not showing the correct updates. This issue has been resolved, the activity feed now shows the correct engagement updates.
- Based on the feedback we’ve received from our SN User Acceptance Testing on collecting worker auto insurance policy, we’ve updated the field name to “Will the Worker drive a personal vehicle to perform job duties?” and we’ve added a tooltip for additional clarity.
2.83.0
What’s New:
- The new order details page is now live. We’ve combined the order’s information and candidates to streamline your workflow. You can now access the Order Dashboard, Job Description, Candidates, Approvals and Vendors all in one place.
2.82.0
Fixes:
- After a worker has acknowledged their pay update in SN, the “Notification of Pay Rate Change” document is once again showing on the engagement pusher and on the Engagements page of the talent profile under the Documents section.
- Vendor users can now resubmit candidates when the new bill rate is the maximum bill rate for the order.
- When adding additional Comments on any activity feed, the edit button is now working.
- When creating a tracked worker, users are now able to edit the Phone Country Code if the worker is not a U.S. worker.
- Multi-Company Admins now have the same permission as Company Admins and Hiring Managers to edit engagements in the system.
- When the VMS Manager or Vendor Admin/Recruiter who submitted the candidate leaves comments on the candidate dashboard, the Hiring Manager also receives an email notification about the candidate comments. If “VMS Manager must pre-approve all candidates” settings is turned on for a company, the Hiring Manager will only receive notifications after the candidate has been approved by the VMS Manager moving forward.
- If the Hiring Manager decides to put an order “On Hold” to give more time to review submitted candidates and prevent new candidates from being submitted, the VMS Manager and vendors are notified. Once the order status updates to “Closed” (candidate is officially hired), the VMS Manager and the vendors will now also receive an email to notify them.
- For Document Compliance, if a Document requires approval, the assigned approvers will now see the PDF when approving the uploaded worker doc.
- When creating a job description, the system will only present the approval processes that has an internal user as the last approver in the process moving forward to ensure the Comp Code and Rate Type fields are completed. Also, when sending an offer, the system will check if the Comp Code and Rate Type fields are completed. If they’re not, the system will display a message letting the user know before an offer is sent out.
- Prescreen items will no longer be duplicated on the engagement pusher when a candidate’s offer is retracted and resent.

2.81.0
Fixes:
- VMS workers will no longer receive an Exception Error during onboarding.
- Editing a tracked engagement when the Worksite is Remote and the Remote Country is not United States should now work.

- We’ve updated our API routes to the Yii framework.
- All users now have a “Source” column on the Talent page! The Source column indicates which talent pool(s) the talent is a part of.

- We performed our routine security testing and enhanced our software security to eliminate any system vulnerability.
2.79.2

- Workers with “Redeploy Onboarding” status should now be able to complete all their onboarding documents, including the Electronic Delivery Consent form.

- Before we released the minimum wage validation feature mentioned above, we’ve updated the minimum wage file to ensure we have the latest version.
- If an engagement is remote and the Remote State is California, the system will now ask for the Remote City. We offer a different benefits package for workers in San Francisco. If the Remote City is “San Francisco,” the worker will see the San Francisco Benefits Brochure on their worker profile.
- We’ve enhanced the talent profile settings to be more streamlined and intuitive. We now have one place for a talent to update their talent profile and one place for a talent to change their password.

- When clicking the Resend Offer button on the engagement pusher, the Send Offer form will stay active so users can make any necessary edits and then click Preview Offer Letter before resending the offer.

2.69.0
StaffingNation would like to give a shout out to Steve for his tireless efforts in creating our release notes in the past. My name is Tim and I will be taking over creating StaffingNation’s release notes. This release is a great one! We have a ton of bug fixes and we are featuring our new Sterling integration! It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally here.
New Features
- Sterling Integration: Our wonderful pre-screening team has been ever working to keep up with all the work that comes their way. It’s time for some give back.
- In this release, we will be rolling out a phased approach for Sterling integration with StaffingNation. Several of the tasks that the pre-screening team does will happen with automated assistance. For the pre-screening team, this means less work setting up and communicating with Sterling. For everyone else, the main difference will be that the pre-screen status for employees and workers will be in real-time as soon as Sterling has updates. As this release is rather complicated, it will be rolled out over the next few weeks. Initially, we will simply load the framework and monitor the connections, and all companies will have the automated integration turned off. However, after the first week, we will begin to turn on companies to observe the process. We will continue to add additional companies until we are fully engaged.
Improved Functionality
- SN-1163: Company admins need more permission when it comes to the company they work for.
- Company Admin can now add, update, delete, or assign permissions for locations and departments
- The primary account manager and CRA will be notified of any changes made to the company’s locations and departments. Big brother is watching.
- SN-1308: The pay rate change process will now allow StaffingNation to increase pay changes even when the effective date, is in the same pay period as today’s date.
Resolved Bugs
- SN1307: When attempting bulk imports there was an error generated due to the custom date field not importing correctly from the template. This has been corrected for this, and future imports.
- SN-1301: Bill Rate has 5 issues that have been reported and fixed. Drum roll, please!
- When selecting the VMS channel and then switching to a regular distribution channel the rate type did not change. This fix will allow the type to update automatically to the correct type.
- Even if a VMS manager has approved a candidate if their salary is higher than the offer’s pay rate range it will not allow you to extend an offer. We have removed this block to allow for people over the pay range to be submitted but only if pre-approved by the VMS manager.
- Fixed an issue where the message and proper approval process was failing when a rejected candidate is edited by a hiring manager and resubmitted with a higher bill rate than the set bill rate.
- You will now see the Markup Rate, and Bill Rate properly displayed when creating payrolling orders for companies with non-standard VMS rates.
- When vendors are submitting a candidate, they will now see that the max bill rate under the hourly bill rate matches the max bill rate on the order details.
- SN-1239: We had a few tickets come through where when users tried to update custom fields with predefined values, it would not save the changes. This has been corrected and customizable boxes should now be fully… Customizable.
- SN-1264: When utilizing quick search features, and expanding it by pressing show all, it surprisingly did NOT always live up to its name and left out some records. This has been corrected.
- SN-1292: The art of perfection is something to always pursue. In the order pusher, the Candidate section was out of alignment. Victor gave it a tune-up.
- SN-1060: Vendors’ permissions were allowing them to modify HM/CMA approved engagement offers which are not part of the original intention. This has been limited to read-only.
- SN-1317: Fixed a date issue that would occur when accessing custom date fields on the company administration layer.
